A boat tour around Lake Yojoa was a must. Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture, Bare-throated Tiger-Heron, Keel-billed Toucan, and many other species were part of the stunning panorama. The gentle breeze and the tranquility of the lake’s waters made this a truly spectacular experience.

We had the privilege of exploring it alongside Robert Gallardo, author of Honduras’ first field guides for both birds and butterflies. Also, invited 10 young participants from the AHLE Foundation to immerse themselves in this incredible experience of nature and learning.

Our group enjoyed an unforgettable blend of Mayan history and incredible birdlife during their visit to this iconic destination. We explored and admired the Maya Site.

The experience continued with a visit to Macaw Mountain Bird Park & Nature Reserve, where conservation and education come together in a lush forest setting. To complete the journey, the group enjoyed the warm hospitality, delicious food, and serene gardens of the charming Hacienda San Lucas.

We visit The Lodge at Pico Bonito to enjoy this great and beautiful # 1 hotspot for birding according to Ebird. Our short stay with Cin-Ty Lee was amazing, we saw many birds such as Lovely Cotinga, Barred Forest-Falcon, Tawny-winged Woodpecker, Short-billed Pigeon, Violet-headed Hummingbird, Ivory-billed Woodcreeper, Red-capped Manakin, Gray-headed Dove and many others.
