What to have on Good Friday for a dinner? Don't skip "bakalar" codfish, grilled fish and potatoes salad with pickled sea fennel. We did this year codfish as pate served on a toast bread😋

We've just jumped into the season 2024 with Dubrovnik on plate tour. This spring the weather is so inpredictable that we are sometimes short sleeves,sleeveless,in jackets,raincoats...but nothing can stop us of tasting the best local food in the Old City 😋😍

Good Friday is traditionally fish day and fantastic opportunity to taste local Dubrovnik recipes with fresh fish and shellfish. From codfish with mashed potatoes "bakalar na bijelo ", octopus baked with potatoes under iron bell to the fresh grilled sea bream, fried tiny fish like chips,famous Ostrea oysters just served with lemon, St.Jacob's scallops ..... For dessert we serve fritters with shred apples, raisins and shot of "rakija"
