The Nymphenburg Palace (German: Schloss Nymphenburg) is a Baroque palace in Munich, Germany. The palace is the main summer residence of the former rulers of Bavaria of the House of Wittelsbach. It is a must see when you are in town!

Amidst the cars and horse-drawn carriages clogging the Hoher Markt stands Fischer von Erlach's Vermählungsbrunnen (Marriage Fountain), built between 1729-32 on the orders of Emperor Leopold I to give thanks for his son's, the future Josef I's, safe return from the Spanish Wars of Succession. Curiously enough it depicts the marriage of Mary and Josef, officiated by a high priest, flanked by Corinthian columns and topped with a gilded sunburst obviously the architect had an extremely fertile imagination.

The Metronome is a giant, functional metronome in Letná Park, overlooking the Vltava River and the city center of Prague. It was erected in 1991, on the plinth left vacant by the destruction in 1962 of an enormous monument to former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The 75-foot-tall (23 m) Metronome is now mostly a scenic vista and a meeting place for young people. It was designed by international artist Vratislav Novak.

The Tomb of Gül Baba is a holy place of the Islam in Budapest, Hungary. Gül Baba, Father of Roses, was a Turkish dervish who came to Hungary during the Turkish invasion, led by Suleiman I in the 16th century. He was honored as a holy man, and died in Buda in 1541.

Catherine’s Gate dates from 1559 and is Brasov’s only remaining medieval gate. This gate was used mainly by Romanians who wanted to enter Brasov. Catherine’s gate is a beautiful structure and a significant piece of Brasov’s history.

The Law Library of Munich in Munich, Germany is located in the New Town Hall which was constructed between 1867 and 1908 in Gothic Revival style. Very impressive in the almost ten meters high hall are the gilded wrought iron spiral staircases and balustrades, reflecting the floral Munich Jugendstil style.

The Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest was founded in the 1870s, enabling talented music students to receive higher education in Hungary. One of the biggest supporters of the conservatory was Ferenc Liszt, the famous Hungarian-born composer. Today, besides being a university, the academy houses plenty of concerts of musicians from all over the world.
