Happy New Year 2026! 🥳✨

This year, we’re doubling down on our mission at Ecotourism Nusa Penida to move from just talking to actual planting. Our big 2026 wish is to see our mangrove forests grow stronger, our coral nurseries bloom into vibrant underwater cities, and our local seaweed farmers achieve their best harvests yet.

Most importantly, I can’t wait to keep teaching English to the local kids—our future ocean guardians—because they are the real changemakers. You don't need a university degree to save the planet; you just need to show up and get your hair a little salty with us. Let’s make this year count! 🤿💙🌱

Meet the mangrove's secret weapon: the propagule! ✨

Instead of dropping seeds, it gives birth to fully formed seedling called propagules. These cigar-shaped 'babies' mature right on the parent tree, so when they fall, they’re already equipped to float for miles and immediately take root in the mud. This incredible adaptation helps them survive and colonize new coastal areas.
