It is time to say goodbye – May 8th 2026

On May 8th of this year, TravelWorldHeritage is shutting down. Truth be told, I fell out of love with blogging many years ago, but liked to keep the blog up with nostalgia and sometimes self reference. However, as the world changes, lots of the information on the blog is very outdated. To boot, the world no longer cares of long form, researched writing and is content with made up information and short video clips of made up scenarios....

After 1600km on this scooter, it was time to let go. This trip has taken me through Bali -> Lombok -> Sumbawa -> and Flores. In total, a round 2000km of Indonesia were covered. I have loads of videos but that’ll have to wait until I have faster internet.

Meet Andrea on the port to Moyo Island. I thought I was cool crossing 1/3 of Indonesia overland. This dude came from Italy on a Vespa from the 70s. There’s always someone being being more bad ass, and that’s okay! Super cool dude.

Pink beach, Lombok. Needs a little filter help to actually see the pink! Next stop, Sumbawa! I rented a motorcycle and am 500km into my overland trip across Indonesia.
