On August 30, 2026, the founder of Sultan Birding Tours, alongside the expert crew, welcomed a specialized group of Bird of Paradise photographers arriving from China in Jayapura. To ensure a seamless trip, top-tier service, and local expertise, the group selected Sultan Birding Tours to lead their Papuan Bird of Paradise Photography Trip.

The team immediately set out for their first destination: the lowland rainforests of Nimbokrang, one of Papua’s most celebrated birding hotspots. Over the coming days, the photographers will capture iconic endemic species in their natural habitat, including The Common Paradise Kingfisher, Papuan Pitta, the Twelve-wired Bird-of-Paradise, the vibrant King Bird-of-Paradise, and the Lesser Bird-of-Paradise. Today, Sultan Birding Tours had the honor of welcoming a talented group of bird photographers from the Philippines for an unforgettable birding expedition to Waigeo Island, Raja Ampat.
Waigeo is world-renowned for its lush tropical rainforests and iconic endemic species, making it a dream destination for wildlife photography. Over the coming days, our team will guide the group through prime forest trails to capture rare sightings and display dances of the region’s most spectacular birds.
