Another moment doccumenting Tony “Dorris“ Elthrington at home surfing Padang Padang in Bali that he gravitated to before discovering the Mentawai’s . Except Tony arrived with Richard Harvey in 1975 and discovered Padang Padang on one HUGE Uluwatu swell that only Richard and Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew had the skills to make it out through the cave and get to the lineup on a HUGE day ….. and that was 50 years ago ! To his credit Dorris is one of the most RESPECTED Captains to take surfers on his boat to live their Indonesian Dreams …. Just like their Captain still does !
