🛫 New Airport in North Bali: The Future is Near!

The North Bali Airport project is back on track! The President of Indonesia has approved the construction, and the first runway will be operational by 2027. The new airport, designed for 50 million passengers per year, will relieve the southern Ngurah Rai (nearly at capacity with 23.6 million in 2024) and connect the island.

Currently, the journey from Buleleng (North Bali) to the south takes 3-4 hours, and only 600,000 out of 16 million tourists make it there. The airport on an artificial island (900 ha) in Kubu Tambahan, with a highway to Mengwi, will open up the north for tourism and business. Plus, a mini-metropolis with hotels and shopping centers!

📢 IMPORTANT NEWS FOR EVERYONE ON BALI!

Friends, the General Directorate of Immigration of Indonesia has issued a new regulation dated May 15, 2025 (Circular Letter No. IMI-417.GR.01.01). From now on, photo and interview sessions at the immigration office are mandatory for all visa extension services and KITAS applications.

📌 Applications can be submitted online or in person.

📌 Attending the photo and interview session is mandatory at the office where the application is submitted.

📌 The regulation comes into effect on May 28, 2025.

💡 Important: Submit your documents at the office corresponding to your place of residence to avoid unnecessary complications.

📢Attention to all Foreign Investment Companies (PMA) and Investor KITAS holders!

To avoid issues with your licenses and status, please take note of the following:

✔ Check your email regularly: Monitor the email linked to your OSS system for any warnings or notifications from the Tax Office, BKPM, or other relevant authorities.

✔ Respond promptly: Address any warnings or requests in a timely manner. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of your NIB (Business License).

✔ Maintain proper reporting: Ensure you submit LKPM reports, tax filings, BPJS, and Wajib Lapor Ketenagakerjaan (WL) on time. Additionally, comply with the minimum capital investment requirement of IDR 10 billion.

✔ Meet capital requirements: Investor KITAS holders must maintain a minimum individual capital of IDR 10 billion. If this requirement is not met, consider switching to a Working KITAS or another type of KITAS that suits your situation.

✔ Update your business address: If you operate from a location different from your registered virtual office, update your NIB accordingly. For businesses with multiple locations, ensure they are added to your registration and reflected in your location permits.

‼️Non-compliance may result in the cancellation of your NIB and possible deportation of the KITAS holder.
