We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our 40th anniversary car run Sunday August 18th & making it such a memorable day. Your presence truly made the event special.

A special thanks to all those who helped make the day run smoothly:
David Bruton for his wonderful talk on the history of aviation in Abbeyshrule.
Mat Farrell & his team at the Maria Edgeworth visitors center for their warm hospitality.
The lovely Mary McEvoy, our surprise guest for gracing us with her presence.
Knights & Conquest Granard for their great welcome & hospitality.
Edward McGoey & the staff of the Rustic Inn for the fabulous meal, great service & for accommodating us for the last 40 years & hopefully the next 40.
Clement Farrar for the nostalgic footage from the first show at Abbeyshrule Aerodrome in 1984.
Thoma’s Dennigan & Edward Keenan for ensuring our safe passage through all the junctions on their motorcycles.

One more sleep before our special day. Done forget we have a very special guest joining us on our Veteran, Vintage & Classic car run. Maybe you have seen her on tv 😄. Sunday nights at one time. Keep you guessing. Great day planed. We are pushing the boat out before we enter the next 40 years. See you all tomorrow 😜

The committee & members of Lakeland Vintage Club would like to say a big thank you to all who attended our Autojumble today. Some traveled many hours in fog and frost to join us. Some friends I met left Donegal before 6 this morning 😄 thanks lads. Also a big thanks to all the traders and to Ballymahon mart for facilitating our event. We can’t forget all the members that got out of their beds in the early hours to help out. A great vibrant and social day was had by all. Thanks again.
