Approximately 25-30 basking sharks feeding in Keem bay today what a sight 😍☘️🙌

You can see some dolphins swimming alongside the sharks close to the shore also 🐬🦈🙈

What an incredible week on the water🦈🙌☘️

We had countless encounters of basking sharks and pods of dolphins this week 🦈🐬🙈

The basking sharks you see are feeding on plankton on the top of the water we see them here in Achill from late April to mid June and fewer numbers as the summer goes on with the peak being in the month of may ! Although we see wildlife on the majority of our trips we cannot guarantee to see wildlife on every trip unfortunately!

Basking sharks in Keem bay 🦈🤩🍀🙌

We were so lucky to to spot 5 basking sharks in Keem bay on our last tour of the day the weather has now settled promising a great weekend ☀️🦈😎🐬🙌

🚨notice🚨
The boats engines were in neutral and turned off as we kept a distance of 50 m following the basking sharks code of conduct as not too disturb the sharks

We are returning on Friday the 3rd of April 🙈🙌and so should the basking sharks 🦈🤞

Last year they arrived to our shores early April and waited around for approx 6 weeks feeding on Achill’s rich plankton 🤩

We can’t wait to get back out on the water and start our tours up again the countdown is on !!!⏳🦈☺️🐬

Hi all due to bad weather and sea conditions 🌊☔️forecasted for the next week or two ahead we have no option but to cancel all our scheduled tours …

We hate to do this but your enjoyment and comfort and most of all your saftey and the saftey of our crew is paramount

We hope to be back up in action for the 6th September 🤞
