We were delighted that writer/actor Mike Kelly and director Aidan Dooley - of the play, The Cable - dropped in for a visit to The Cable Station over the weekend.

The Cable has just finished a sold out run at Siamsa Tíre, Tralee. “The cable that changed the world — as one family waits for a single word.”

The Valentia Transatlantic Cable Foundation held the 2025 Valentia Lecture Series, last Thursday 17th & Friday 18th August at The Cable Station. The annual event was fantastic for everyone involved. Great to see so many attend over the two days.

Congratulations to Peadar O'Gabhain, from Colaiste na Sceilge, who won a competition to tell the story of the Transatlantic Cable Station, and was presented with a plaque containing a piece of the cable. We will share his winning video soon.
