In October 1854, 600+ men rode headlong into enemy cannon fire in one of the most infamous moments in military history. Among their ranks was a Drogheda man wielding a 9ft long lance. This is one of the many astonishing stories we'll be focusing on during our Drogheda at War Walking Tour next Friday.
