Halfway through the tour season I find myself low on energy.

Headed out to Skellig Michael to recharge. This place feels like no other on earth.

Cruising the 8 miles by sea to the Islands sets the tone. Waiting patiently in Blind Man's Cove for the right moment to step foot onto Skellig is a pilgrimage in itself.

Despite it's place in ancient myth, and more recent Christian history, I find my mind held in the present by a million puffins.

Pilgrim, archaeologist, star wars fan... The puffins don't give a damn. They barely move to let you past. They're like the rock itself - stubborn, pure and natural.

The plus side of that is they make it easy to capture them in dramatic poses! Here's one with Skellig Bheag in the background.

Such. Beauty.

As for the prehistoric Sons of Mil and the Christian hermits who sought this rock of all places... I'm still mulling them over in my mind. Maybe I'll make a video on my thoughts. Leave it with me.

Now fully recharged. Onwards and upwards!

We spent 6 days in Donegal on retreat. Yoga, mountains, cliff hikes and skinny dipping. Followed by loads of ice cream and beachside sauna.

Blessed to be in the best of company.

Spent a few hours today with my friend - the Boyne Valley Blacksmith

You couldn't have a better ambassador for the Boyne Valley. While forging art from steel he is sharing myths, legends and the history of his craft.

One of the toughest tours I've ever done - full of sunsets, sunrises, myths and legends.

This bunch of legends here will make it a very difficult goodbye.

Spending solstice at Tara and Carrowkeel is a life changing experience I can never forget.

Have to say they are such a lovely group to be with. A group that truly appreciates what Ireland has to offer beyond temple bar!
