What a fab photo by Connemara Weather !
We were so fortunate to see two bucks a few years ago within 50 yards of us (we were safely in a car!) on the bog road outside Clifden. Such a spectacular and graceful beast!

A memory from just before Christmas when I saw this beauty standing in the park forest behind the house. He has been coming down to the grass most of that week. Have not seen him since, but I know he will be back

🚗 Have you ever driven the spectacular Sky Road in Connemara? 🇮🇪

Starting just outside Clifden in County Galway, the Sky Road is one of Ireland’s most beautiful scenic drives. Stretching for around 16 kilometres, this winding route climbs above the rugged Connemara coastline, offering incredible views across the Atlantic, offshore islands and the surrounding countryside. 🌊⛰️

Take the Upper Sky Road for some of the most dramatic views, with a fantastic viewpoint where you can stop and take in the landscape. On a clear day, the combination of mountains, islands and endless Atlantic Ocean is hard to beat.

It may be a relatively short drive, but this is definitely one to take slowly — especially around sunset when Connemara can look truly spectacular. 🌅
