Another May without guests staying. As sad for us as it is them but brighter days lie ahead and it does mean that Paul a gets chance to catch a fish or two when he would normally be guiding. This beauty came to a black buzzer with a holographic rib and jungle c**k cheeks 7lb 13oz's. Well done Paul (G.B's.)!

Buzzers back on the menu - well they were at 11pm last night when this video was taken. Couldn’t quite summon up the energy to go out fishing, mind willing but body not so. Paul’s out today so might swap the mayfly and sedges for some buzzer patterns?

Time to dust down the nets, bring down the rods and arrange a zillion fly's - it's nearly the start of the season.
It's also maybe time to improve on fly casting skills.
Whether you are a total beginner or someone who wants to improve casting techniques we offer fly fishing lessons. Improved fly casting can increase your catch rate significally. We offer free child places (10 - 16) when accompanied by a fee paying adult.
One to one tuition or small groups - what ever suits.
Refresher one hour lessons as well as half day and full day fly fishing courses which can include guided fishing on Lough Corrib.

Glad we decided to hold the Clydagh cup last cast competition yesterday rather than today! Although not many fish were caught at least we didn't need to thaw out for 3 hours like we have done today and the rain.......!
Thoroughly enjoyed the day and evening in great company.
Many thanks to guests and friends that have made this season so memorable. Roll cast on 2020.

With less than three weeks till the end of the season grabbing every opportunity to get out on the Lake. Plus couldn't think of a nicer way to spend a Birthday morning!
Paul and I had 5 fish with three of them over 2lb. Green Peter's. Claret Hopper and Muddlers doing the trick on intermediate lines. The best three fish were in front of the house!
