Holycross Abbey Holycross is a very special and sacred place where you can walk in the footsteps of ancient Monks.

Visit the restored 12th century Abbey which offers a unique blend of history, art, folklore and spirituality. Holycross Community Network has been developed to improve the visitors experience in our village and enhance our Facilities to the community. We aim to increase visitor numbers and become an integral part of the visitor network in Tipperary while developing our existing natural and heritag

e resources. And as a local support group to co-operate and co-ordinate with surrounding communities to advertise events.

Discover how monastic life and evangelisation in Ireland evolved from the time of St. Patrick to the dissolution of the monasteries under Henry VIII, and why Holycross Abbey played such a significant role in that story.

A wonderful opportunity to explore the rich history, spirituality and heritage of this beautifully restored 12th-century Abbey. All are welcome.

Join us for the Solemn Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help at Holycross Abbey from Tuesday 8th to Wednesday 16th September 2026.

🙏 Novena Sessions
Monday–Saturday: 7.00am, 10.30am, 4.30pm & 7.30pm
Sunday: 7.00am, 10.30am, 12.30pm & 7.30pm (No 4.30pm session.)

Special Ceremonies
🕊️ Penitential Service – Friday, 11th September at 7.30pm
💜 Anointing of the Sick – Saturday, 12th September at 2.00pm
👶 Blessing of Infants – Sunday, 13th September at 2.30pm

Confessions will be available before, during and after each Novena session every day except Sunday.
