Nollaig na mban - Womans Christmas is today.

When we look back at our pagan Gaelic goddesses, we see that women were revered as powerful divine figures. Some of these goddesses even survived into the Christian world through a process of soft transition rather than abrupt erasure. Bríd was a goddess of enormous power, and today we see her name carried forward in Christian saints. St Brigid, for instance, was both a Christian figure and an echo of an ancient sacred woman. She made spells and worked magic, embodying a continuity between pagan belief and emerging Christianity, one flowing gently from the other.

Did you know that William Marshall built Kilkenny Castle. He was known as the greatest knight who ever lived. Chief advisor of five Kings of England. It is rumoured he was a crusader. His biggest achievement which made him rich was his marriage to Princess Isabelle de Clare. Isabelle was the daughter of Strongbow and Aoife Mac Murrough.

William is buried in Temple church in London one of the most prestigious burial positions for Templars.
