The Glencar Community Centre Group are hosting a Guided Fundraising Walk (choice of two routes) on Saturday the 6th of June.

Route 1: Derrynafeana Loop (Challenging)
Meet at Glencar Community Centre (V93R963)
at 10:00am
Approximate duration: 3 hours

Route 2: Castle Rock Loop (Easy-going)
Meet at Lickeen Field (V93RX23)
at 12:00pm
Approximate duration: 1 hour

All ages and fitness levels welcome.

Food and Refreshments afterwards at the Glencar Community Centre (V93R963)

All proceeds go to the upkeep and running
costs of the Glencar Community Centre

🌿 May Day is coming… but what is a May Bough?

A May Bough is a simple, beautiful tradition from Beltane.

People gather flowers, leaves, and branches, tie them together with ribbons or string, and hang them outside their home — on a door, gate, or window.

✨ It’s a way to:
• Welcome the start of summer
• Bring good luck and protection
• Add colour and joy to your home and community

There’s no right or wrong way to make one — just use what’s growing around you.

🌼 This year in Killorglin, we’re inviting everyone to create their own May Bough and put it out on Thursday, April 30th.
