So sorry to hear of the passing of Alec, a long- term part of Donabate/ Malahide/North Fingal story. RIP.

Regretfully we have been informed of the death on 31st March 2026 of Alec Cobbe of Newbridge House. Richard Alexander Charles Cobbe was born and educated in Dublin.

Alec’s passion for Irish cultural heritage and history was one of the driving forces for his and his family's wish, in partnership with Fingal County Council, for Newbridge House and its collections to be preserved and enjoyed by so many, as it is today.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

There will be a private family funeral and a memorial service in the autumn.
