Mary Murnane Memorial Weekend- Friday 20 - Sunday 22nd March 2026.

We gather this coming weekend to celebrate the life and memory of the late Mary Murnane of Kilkishen Co. Clare and friend of Doohoma.

Mary was a regular visitor to Doohoma over a period of many years, and in particular she religiously attended our annual Pearse Holmes/ Trá Buí memorial Traditional weekend held in early December of each year.

Mary endeared herself and became a firm friend to many in our local pubs, Barrett's and Holmes' and made no secret of how much she came to love the Doohoma area and it's people.

Mary was loved and well known in Traditional Irish Music circles countrywide, and was forever central to the many Trad Irish Music events she attended whether in Doolin or Doohoma, where she always entertained us with her songs and Irish dancing, and her friendship, good nature and warm character.

Sadly we lost Mary on March 17th last year after a short illness, and at the request of her family, they and her many friends will gather in Doohoma this coming weekend on her first anniversary to celebrate her life and memory with a weekend of Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance.

We invite you to join us and the many local and visiting musicians and artists who will attend and perform at the various events throughout the weekend to celebrate the life and memory of Mary Murnane.

Doris' Session
