Another day another adventure with Shamrockroutes ☘️☘️☘️, this morning was a little foggy with a drizzle 🌧️…. Nevertheless the weather was never goin to dampen our guests from New Jersey 🇺🇸🇺🇸 and North Carolina 🇺🇸🇺🇸 spirits….
After leaving our hotel in Fort William our Harry Potter fans first visit was “The Glenfinnan Viaduct “…They came across the famous “Wishing Stump”.., a tree stump with coins hammered into it…Plenty of photos taken…
Then back on the road , we headed back to Fort William to the Ben Nevis Mountain Centre, were our guests wanted to use a gondola 🚠 to travel up the highest mountain on the British isles…. Sadly it wasn’t operating due to high winds …
Back on the road we headed to Glencoe… Once again never failing to amaze ,fog had lifted and mountains looked spectacular…We then joined the Western side of Loch Lomand and at Tarbet we stopped for some mid afternoon lunch… The food as usual was delicious and staff friendly and helpful as ever… Tonight as we are only 2 days from finishing this amazing tour …Our amazing friends they are staying in Glasgow tonight ….

Another day another adventure with Shamrockroutes ☘️☘️☘️, our guests from New Jersey 🇺🇸🇺🇸 and North Carolina 🇺🇸🇺🇸 are about to start their adventures on the Isle of Skye…
An early start and first stop was to view the different coloured cottages on Portree waterfront…On we head for” Old Man of Storr” … Along the way we stopped at a field of “COOs “… Took some beautiful pictures… We visited “ Leith Gorge” …The sun 🌞 was shining brightly and clear blue skies….We drove through the Fairy Glens …. What a beautiful island….
We stopped at the top of the “Quaraing “everybody went for a nice long walk …Soaking up the natural beauty of mother nature….
We headed for Dunvegan for some lunch…. After lunch we visited the very impressive Dunvegan Castle 🏰 ….This castle 🏰 has been inhabited for nearly 800 years by the same family…. Amazing history and got an opportunity to take some wonderful photos….Everyone enjoyed this visit….
Our last visit of the Island was “Neist Point”, a beautiful lighthouse on the end of a cliff edge…. Such a beautiful place …. Again some beautiful photos were taken….Then back to our hotel in Fort William we travelled…

Another day and another amazing adventure with Shamrockroutes ☘️☘️☘️…today our guests from New Jersey 🇺🇸🇺🇸 and North Carolina 🇺🇸🇺🇸 had to say goodbye to the Highlands capital Inverness City…Everyone enjoyed the 2 days in Inverness….
This morning our guests first visited “The Culledon Battlefield “….They all enjoyed the museum and walking tour…Amazing history bout The Jacobite soldiers defending Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 against English troops…
Back on the road, travelling along Loch Ness to Invergarry…There everyone had some lunch…Such picturesque views mountains and lakes all the way to our next stop Eilean Donan Castle 🏰,along the lake shore… Lots of pictures taken….This beautiful blue sky and sun 🌞 high…Everyone went in to visit the castle 🏰….They all enjoyed the experience….
Next we crossed the Skye Bridge and visited “The Fairy Pools”…They all enjoyed the walk and the Pool were spectacular…Again nice pictures were taken…All were delighted with that experience…

Another day another adventure with Shamrockroutes ☘️☘️☘️…our guests from New Jersey 🇺🇸🇺🇸 and North Carolina 🇺🇸🇺🇸 took a more leisurely start to the day….
A short drive to the” Clansman Hotel”…. Everyone was excited about the 2 hour Jacobite Loch Ness Cruise… The sun ☀️ was shining and clear blue skies..The cruise took them up lake to visit Urquhart Castle…They all enjoyed the experience and Gerry is convinced he seen the” Loch Ness Monster “😂😂
Then a short drive back to Inverness the capital city of the Highlands for lunch…. Along the way we came across a small field with Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Coos … Of course we stopped and photos were taken….
After lunch the road took us north for our next destination…. A visit to the Highlands is never completed without a visit to Dunrobin Castle 🏰…All enjoyed its amazing beauty and rolling lawns… A visit through 30 rooms was really enjoyable…Photos taken and a nice relaxing castle 🏰 visit complimented the day….
Last visit today before we finished was the very historical “Culledon Battlefield” ….Amazing history back in the 1700s … They all enjoyed that visit … Then everyone went into Inverness for food , drink and live music 🎵

Our guests went on “The Old Course Tour Walk “ with Andrew our fantastic and informative guide … Everyone enjoyed the history … The weather was beautiful , blue skies and sun 🌞….
To finish off a perfect St Andrews ,a visit to St Andrews Castle was a treat…The ruins on the coast and history is amazing….
Back on the road and our next stop was the World 🌎 Famous, one of a kind and invented in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿,”The Falkirk Wheel”…. The only one of its kind for lifting canal boats to different levels of canal…The guests really enjoyed that experience….
Next port of call, the very famous “The Kelpis”, two 30 meter high stainless steel horses heads , to commemorate the horses 🐎 whom worked along the canals between Edinburgh and Glasgow… Amazing craftsmanship…
Then back on the long road to the Highlands Capital Inverness… Stopped off at “The House of The Bruar “… They all enjoyed a little retail therapy along the way….

Gerry spent his day in St. Andrews…. He enjoyed a nice round of ⛳️ on the new course…
In the meantime the rest of our guests spent their day visiting Edinburgh City… The traffic was crazy in Edinburgh due to a marathon taking place…. First visit of the day, was the world 🌍 famous Edinburgh Castle 🏰..The history and stories from the Castle were just fascinating and interesting…
After the Castle 🏰 visit our guests quietly mingled with other people as they walked down the famous Royal Mile….Stopping and admiring all the Royal Mile had to offer… From local sovereign shops, bars , restaurants and of course street performers… Making lots of great memories along the way…
Finally reaching the House Of The Holyrood… The beautiful residential home for the King 🤴 of England while visiting Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿…..
Next visit was the world 🌍 famous Rosslyn Chapel, built in the mid 1400s and took 40 years to complete…. This out of the world 🌍 work of art is truly breathtaking… Our guests had an awesome time there and took lots of photos….
Then headed back to St Andrews to meet back up with Gerry our Pro Golfer….🏌️‍♂️ … He met and made lots of new friends… Played extremely well and above all loved the whole experience…..

Another day another adventure with Shamrockroutes ☘️☘️☘️….An early rise for our guests from New Jersey 🇺🇸🇺🇸 and North Carolina 🇺🇸🇺🇸….We were catching a 7 am ferry from Belfast/ Cairnryan Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿…..
These guests were looking forward to getting to Scotland and learn a little history and culture and above all make memories….
First stop was Trump Turnberry… The sun was shining and clear blue skies… The place was looking magnificent…. Gerry and the crew enjoyed that little gem of a visit ….
Next stop was the 12th century Crossraguel Abbey…. What a magnificent place,its beauty and history,despite all its damage, gothic windows etc… Guests enjoyed and lots of photos were taken…
Finally made it to Edinburgh…. Our guests were booked into a 3 hour” Walking Food Tour “.They all really loved this experience, they even enjoyed eating “Hagas “ and all different types of Scottish dishes…
Back on the road to our hotels in St Andrews… What a day , lots of excitement and craic and stories …From Gerry’s round of golf ⛳️ the day before in Royal Portrush and all the fun and excitement of day 1 in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿….Not to forget the wonderful weather we are experiencing here ….
