We want to welcome all participants and spectators to the city for the annual Streets of Galway 8k, which takes place this Saturday, 9th August.

Please be aware that Galway City Council has approved a temporary rolling road closure from 7pm to 9pm along the race route,

The race starts at GTI on Fr Griffin Road at 7pm, and will route through the city centre via Merchants Road to Eyre Square, along Eglinton Street, across the Salmon Weir Bridge, around the Cathedral to University Road, and out to Salthill via St Marys Road, Nile Lodge, Lower Salthill, Devon, Dr Mannix Road, Rockbarton Road, the Promenade and into the last section via Grattan Road, with the finish in South Park.

Traffic delays can be expected, so plan your journey in advance. Gardaí will be on duty.
