The newly found ancient fortified building is seen as ‘tangible evidence’ of the Hanukkah story.

Weapons, coins, burnt wooden beams were unearthed in Lachish Forest from a structure said to be part of a fortified line erected by the Hellenistic army to protect the city from the Hasmonean offensive.
