We would like to introduce you to our program at Kibbutz Misgav-Am,
which is an especially designed presentation based on our personal expertise. Misgav-Am is the northernmost kibbutz in Israel and we are surrounded on three sides by the Lebanese border. Because of our unique location, our panoramic view is absolutely breathtaking :
to the east we overlook the Hula Valley, the Golan Heights and
Mt. Hermon, to the north and west we look directly into Southern Lebanon and on a clear day you can see the Mediterranean Sea. It is from this vantage point that you are certain to acquire a deeper understanding,
of the events which have shaped our lives here, in the Upper Galilee. Recently, we have opened our new Visitors Center to enhance your experience at Kibbutz Misgav Am. Our center offers 80 indoor seats that look out over the picturesque countryside of Southern Lebanon and Northern Israel,
as well as a snack bar and a souvenir stand. Additionally, a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Second Lebanon War is currently under construction. Our guides provide an historical outline of the region,
including the Zionistic spirit which is the foundation of kibbutz life. The tour also provides an excellent overview,
past and present, of the very serious problems we have encountered with terrorist organizations;
how Misgav-Am serves as a frontline army base and finally,
how the events of the Second Lebanese War in 2006,
and its aftermath have affected the economy and development of the northern communities. We have the distinct pleasure of working with Taglit (Birthright),
the Israel Experience, and a variety of youth groups from all over the world. Accordingly, we offer tours in Hebrew, English, French, Spanish, Dutch and German and Russian.
