Desert Cyclist The Desert Cyclist invites you to visit one of the best MTB environments in the world: the Negev desert. The desert climate is exquisite – built for the ride!

The company was established by Ziv Sherzer and Noam Mordish, after years of exploring the area and relishing in its abundance. The Negev desert, in southern Israel, has a special tranquility that can be felt from the very first moment. Our bicycle tours wind through beautiful scenery, unique geological formations, archaeological sites that go back as far as the Stone Age, endemic fauna and flora,

and of course, Bedouin nomads who still live by the traditions of their ancestors. From October to April, when temperatures in Europe drop below zero, that’s the season for the desert, where temperatures stay between 15°C and 25°C and rain only falls a few days per year. The network of trails selected by Desert Cyclist Tours is based on ancient paths used by camels and nomads. Some are even part of the “Incense Route” UNESCO world heritage site. The trails we offer vary in length, difficulty and gradient, but all were tested and selected as the best the Negev has to offer. At The Desert Cyclist, we believe that an unforgettable bicycle experience requires continuity – with no car transfer from place to place: just you, the bike and the desert! Nights are spent at high-class cottages, bike hotels and Bedouin tents – all along the route and under the desert stars …

באפריל השנה יצאנו למסע אופניים יחודי בארץ מיוחדת ומפתיעה- בהוטן. ממלכה קטנה בלב רכס ההימליה, שעד לפני שנים מספר הייתה סגורה לתייר המערבי. בהוטן, מדינת האושר היא אכן כזאת, ורק מי שיבקר בה יבין עד כמה... המדינה בוחרת בשנים האחרונות להתפתח ולהתקדם, אך היא בוחרת לעשות זאת בקצב שלה, קצב שיעודד פיתוח מצד אחד אך ישמור על צביונה ותרבותה מן הצד האחר. הנופים הם מעבר לדימיון, המבצרים הם מהגדולים והיפים שיש באסיה, הארכיטקטורה מופלאה, האוכל טעים ומעניין והאנשים... האנשים באמת הכי שלוים ונחמדים בעולם!!! ומה עוד- עמקים פוריים, מנזרים עתיקים, שבילים אין סופיים, פסים גבוהים, הרים מושלגים, נהרות שוצפים, יערות גשם וכמובן, פריחת הרודודנדרון היפה בתבל. אז מי שעוד לא היה, הנה ההזדמנות, ולמי שכבר היה, קדימה פעם שנייה

The second day riding in Sde Boker was very pleasant. the weather was fine, the trails are as good as it gets, and the food under the big acacia tree was tasty... We finished the ride along the Tsin ridge just before sunset (for a kiss) , and kept on to drink superb wine around the fire and eat delicious food at Nahal Boker ranch.
