I was so grateful last week to welcome back post war women’s delegations to Israel. The days were filled with inspiring encounters of women, stories, emotion, and creativity.

After two years of uncertainty, it was an honor to once again host international groups from UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, Momentum, Federation of Cleveland, international journalists, privet guests and more and to share with them Israel’s story through fashion and design, the story of resilience, human spirit, and innovation.

As one participant beautifully said:
“We left with an understanding and appreciation of how each designer’s personal story and family roots infuse their work. The pieces we bought will forever remind us of each designer’s motivation and the incredible talent and strength of the people of Israel.”

Through fashion and design, I continue to reveal the human capital that stands at the heart of our society, and to celebrate creativity as a language of connection, identity, and hope.

To my TLVstyle family,

I wish you a Happy New Year. May it be filled with brighter days, peace of heart, and shared trust in the journey ahead.

At the beginning of this month, as I stepped into my new decade and celebrated my 50th birthday, I felt deep gratitude for 15 years of devotion, mission, and my role in my profession. I wish myself to continue growing, evolving, and discovering new paths and complementary projects within the unique world of Israeli creation.

I truly hope we will meet again in the near future. Please let me know if you are coming to Israel. More than ever, the voice of the creative community needs to be bridged to the world. I believe in the healing spaces that Israeli creation makes possible, the mind-expanding spaces of dialogue with others, and the love so deeply needed in this time.

הנרטיב של "עיצוב ותודעה" מלווה סיורים שמעבירה מאז פרוץ המלחמה. כאב ושכול בצד חוסן וגבורה יצרו מערכת עצבים חשופה לתכנים של יצירה ישראלית במרחב הציבורי. כך גם אצלי המציאות גרמה לתנודתיות בין קריעה לקריאה. הקריעה מהמוכר והשגרה, פירוק של ערכים ובטחון לבין הקריאה העמוקה לריפוי ובהירות הדרך. המצב התודעתי החדש השפיע על הרצון לשינוי והובלת סיורים עם נקודת מבט של תקווה, חוסן ואנושיות.

הידיעה שהביחד שלנו כפרטים במרחבים יצירתיים משפיעה על הסטייט-אוף-מיינד ויוצרת תחושות של נחמה ושלווה מרים אותי כל פעם לאצור תכנים חדשים. כאלו שמעמיקים את השיח, ומאפשרים לקבוצות נשים לשהות במרחבים אינטימים של בתים וחללי עבודה להתבוננות, הרפייה לתוך סטוריטיילינג שמפתח תודעה חיובית.

כך ביום שישי האחרון התכנסו 10 נשים שוחרות עיצוב למפגש עם שתי יוצרות מרתקות. Dikla P. Levsky, אמנית טקסטיל, המשלבת בין דפוס וצבע בכשרון רב. ו Michal Gelbard, יוצרת קרמית שבעבודתה ממזגת בין האקראי למעוצב. תהליך העבודה של שתיהן מתבטא בעבודה רבה בצע, בתהליכי שכבות ומצבי תודעה שונים שמשקפים הלך רוח בין האישי לציבורי.

מפגש של שלוש שעות חלף ביעף. יש האומרים שגלי תטא מופרשים במוח בצד שהות במרחבי מעוצבים ובמפגש עם עיצובים יפים. כנראה הסיור הפך לזמן שהות מדיטטיבי ארוך.

הייתי שמחה לקבל את דקת התהילה שלי בנסיבות משמחות יותר, אבל כשנקראתי לקחת חלק בכתבה על ענף התיירות הקורס - התייצבתי.
המשבר הנוכחי בענף התיירות מטלטל את העסקים הקטנים, שזועקים למדינה להצגת מתווה פיצויים מסודר וארוך טווח. יש תחושה שאנחנו צריכים לדאוג לעצמנו בשנת 2024, כשבנתיים אין אופק לסיום המלחמה. אני יודעת על עצמי כייזמית שאני לא אשקוט לרגע, אבל כל התחלה חדשה לוקחת זמן לבניה. הזעקה היא של ענף בקריסה ובעבור אלו שלא יכולים להשמיע אותה.

סיור אופנה ייחודי אמש עם שתי פאשיוניסטות בנות תשע ועשר (!) ואבא אחד מיוחד וסופר קול.. בעבורן נתפרה החוויה בה למדו על אופנה איטית, טקסטילים , התנסו בתפירה, נחשפו לסיפורים של איך מגשימים חלומות והולכים אחרי הלב. תודה .avnet על האירוח מלא הרגש. כשאבא כותב לי Highlight of trip עשיתי את שלי.

I am honored to have the chance to host the Utah federation women for one experimental hour to the behind-the-scene of the Israeli fashion industry through TLVstyle narrative. I was sharing with the most innovative fashion studios and creators, enlightening our journey with fashion stories from the early days of the country till nowadays fashion scene. Allowing us to meet the makers, who make up the city's unique fabric, feel the vibe, and get the inside scoop on Israeli's fashion and design trends, also under the Covid-19 pandemic.
Through our journey, we celebrated Israel culture through unique topics and perspectives such as entrepreneurship in the creative fields, innovation vs. craft and tradition, sustainability and social impact, a-binary fashion, co-existent, and much more.

Kornit Fashion Week Tel Aviv 2021 will be taking place in the White City this year from March 28 - April 1, in collaboration with Channel 13, which will broadcast the event live across the country, and the Eretz Israel Museum Tel Aviv, which will be the stage and setting for all the photoshoots of the Fashion Week events.

The opening gala will be hosted by Israeli supermodel Bar Rafaeli, with Tel Aviv Fashion Week founder Motty Reif by her side.
