Last tour of the year! Tonight, December 30, join us for a cozy evening of holiday songs under the New Year tree. In the Soviet Union (we don’t miss the USSR but it kinda shaped our traditions), New Year was a warm and family-centered celebration with a decorated tree, homemade food, mandarins, and the television quietly playing in the background. Children waited for Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, recited poems, and sang favorite songs, while adults sat nearby and enjoyed the moment together. Music helped create this feeling of togetherness, from children’s songs and film melodies to gentle winter ballads that returned to homes year after year and connected different generations.
