The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ delivered his Farewell Sermon on 9 Dhul-Hijjah, 10 AH, during his Farewell Hajj, in the Wadi ʿUranah area at Arafat.

The important distinction is:

* Maidan/Plain of Arafat — where the Prophet ﷺ spent the Day of Arafah and made duʿa.
* Wadi ʿUranah — the area where the Farewell Sermon was delivered.
* Masjid an-Namirah (Nimrah) — located beside Wadi ʿUranah and associated with the Prophet’s ﷺ stay and the location of the sermon.
* Jabal ar-Rahmah — the famous hill in Arafat. It is commonly associated with the Farewell Sermon, but the Prophet ﷺ did not specifically climb Jabal ar-Rahmah to deliver it. The sermon was in the area of Wadi ʿUranah, not from the top of the hill.

📍 So if you visit Arafat

The historical place you should look for is Masjid an-Namirah / Wadi ʿUranah, rather than assuming the sermon was delivered from the top of Jabal ar-Rahmah
