Boarding passes and check-ins at airports are soon to be a thing of the past!

With plans underway to fully digitise global air travel in the next few years, soon we will be moving through airports using only facial recognition and an uploaded ‘journey pass’.

Having experienced 'a bit of a journey hiccup' myself this week, in future airlines will update us of missed connections via phone message, and automatically check us onto the next flight.

Hmm. I can see the pros and cons to this ( Big Brother etc) - but what are your thoughts, Fellow Travel Lovers?

The Niraamaya hotels are renowned for their beautiful locations, fabulous spas and attentive staff - and the Niraamaya Samroha was no exception!

My Luxury Pool Cottage was just a pebble's throw away ftom the boulders of the Athripally River and a view of the spectacular falls. Water was very much the theme here, as my villa came with its own indoor pool - perfect for a little refreshing dip before dinner!

This has been my first ever trip to the Athripally Falls in Northern Kerala - the second highest waterfalls in Asia, they cascade down from a mighty eighty feet, surrounded by lush green forests.

Visitors to the region have to patiently queue and climb to view this spectacle - but you won't need to worry about that with KOKOindia...

From Kara to Kayal... I was very excited to visit my friend Maneesha at her new hotel, Kara, in Fort Kochi this week....

From Kara to Kayal... I was very excited to visit my friend Maneesha at her new hotel, Kara, in Fort Kochi this week. I had stayed there many years ago in it's former incarnation - and she is now in the process of transforming it into a wonderful eight bedroomed boutique hotel complete with a cafe, gallery, restaurant and 'edible garden.' Watch this space...

From there, it was onto Mabeesha's original passion project, and my favourite little hotel in India - Kayal. Gliding smoothly across the Backwaters in a traditional vallam, the smiley Kayal team were waiting on the shore to greet me. It felt like a dream. It felt like I had come home ♡

A refreshing Welcome Drink to greet me on arrival at one of my favourite Goa boutique hotels, .jaali, where I have just checked in for a little escape night away.

It's incredibly hot 'n' humid in Goa during the build up to the monsoon rains - and so the stormy seas and moody skies provide an exciting view of Patnem Bay from the luxe comfort of my Grand Sea View Room.

This is a much needed opportunity to catch my breath, and reflect on the end of a busy season - one which saw KOKOindia happily return to its pre-pandemic glory as one of the busiest bespoke travel companies in India.

Thank you to owner Kate and her friendly staff for making this possible - I feel very welcome indeed🙏
