Temmery

Temmery Travel. Eat. Play. Love. The name Temmery, the club, is taken from the distorted erstwhile name of the town of Nurpur in Himachal Pradesh. And here we are !!

Once called Dhameri, it was an important en route destination for the travellers coming into the hills or passing through the Silk Route. Then, it was famously regarded as TEMMERY FORT by the European travellers.

An old man was going for a walk, when he noticed a little boy feeding a thin, shaggy looking dog with bits of bread. He went up to the boy and asked him why he was sharing his bread with the dogs.

The little boy answered, "Because they have nothing. No home, no family, and if I don’t feed them they will die." “But there are homeless dogs everywhere," the old man replied. “So your efforts don't really make a difference” The little boy looked at the dog and stroked him. “But for this little dog, it makes all the difference in the world.” -via Some Amazing Facts

The Egyptian pyramids are ancient pyramid-shaped masonry structures located in Egypt. There are 138 pyramids discovered in Egypt as of 2008. Most were built as tombs for the country's Pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods.
The earliest known Egyptian pyramids are found at Saqqara, northwest of Memphis. The earliest among these is the Pyramid of Djoser (constructed 2630 BCE–2611 BCE) which was built during the third dynasty.
The most famous Egyptian pyramids are those found at Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Several of the Giza pyramids are counted among the largest structures ever built. The Pyramid of Khufu at Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid. It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still in existence.
