Fazilka, 2nd November 2024: As part of the World Tourism Day 2024 celebrations, the Graduates Welfare Association Fazilka (GWAF) honored Mr. Abhishek Bawa for his invaluable contributions to promoting tourism in Fazilka. As a Social Media Influencer, Mr. Bawa has brought Fazilka’s vibrant culture, rich heritage, and scenic attractions to a larger audience, greatly enhancing the city’s visibility and appeal. His dedicated efforts have helped position Fazilka as a notable destination, drawing increased attention from across the region and beyond.

At a special ceremony attended by GWAF Founding Members—Madam Pritam Kaur, Advocate Umesh Kukkar, Harmohinder Singh, Madam Suman Singh, Dr. Navdeep Asija —and Coordinator Mr. Anand Jain, Mr. Bawa was commended for his impactful work. One of his notable initiatives included organizing a tourism experience in Fazilka that attracted popular influencers like Kamiya Jani, food vlogger Deepak Ji from Amritsar, and Niharika, known for documenting border towns. The engagement of these influencers further boosted Fazilka’s reach and appeal on social media platforms.
As part of Fazilka’s World Tourism Day celebrations on 27th September 2024, Deputy Commissioner Fazilka, Smt. Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, IAS, launched a special video by Mr. Abhishek Bawa at the Asafwala War Memorial. The video quickly gained significant engagement, capturing Fazilka’s charm and inviting a broader audience to explore its unique offerings.
GWAF’s ongoing partnership with the Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board (Punjab Tourism), formalized under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), strengthens its role as a community outreach partner for tourism promotion across Fazilka District. This collaboration is instrumental in promoting Fazilka’s heritage, enhancing regional tourism, and supporting cultural and economic growth.

🌟 राष्ट्रीय डाक दिवस की शुभकामनाएँ! 🌟

आज, 10 अक्टूबर को, हम "राष्ट्रीय डाक दिवस" मनाते हैं। इस विशेष अवसर पर, मैं आपको स्वामी केशवानंद जी के बारे में बताना चाहता हूँ।

स्वामी जी फ़ाज़िल्का के एकमात्र ऐसे संत हैं, जिनके नाम पर डाक टिकट जारी किया गया है। उन्होंने 1904 में उदासीन संप्रदाय में दीक्षा ली और फ़ाज़िल्का के साधु आश्रम में शिक्षा प्राप्त की। स्वामी केशवानंद जी ने साधु आश्रम में "वेदांत पुष्प वाटिका" नामक पुस्तकालय की स्थापना की, जो ज्ञान के प्रसार का एक अद्वितीय केंद्र बना, लेकिन आज यह न संभाले जाने के कारण इतिहास हो गई है। मेरे साथ कई फ़ाज़िल्का वालों की यादें उस लाइब्रेरी से जुड़ी होंगी। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने 1912 में उसी स्थान पर एक संस्कृत विद्यालय भी शुरू किया।

स्वामी केशवानंद जी के योगदान को याद करते हुए, आइए सभी कोशिश करें कि उस पुस्तकालय को साधु आश्रम में फिर से जिंदा किया जाए और उनके हाथों से लिखी हुई दुर्लभ लिपियों को संजोएं। आइए हम सब मिलकर उनके ज्ञान के प्रकाश को फैलाने की कोशिश करें।
