I Condemn the Innocent Killings of Tourists in Pahalgam — A Message from a Kashmiri
As a Kashmiri, I have grown up witnessing the pain, fear, and helplessness that follow every act of violence. Since childhood, I have seen innocent lives being lost — not occasionally, but often on a weekly or monthly basis. This has become a disturbing pattern, and the recent killings of innocent tourists in Pahalgam are yet another dark chapter in that ongoing tragedy.
Today, I speak not just as a Kashmiri, but as an Indian — someone who has always believed in the strength and dignity of our nation. India is home to one of the strongest armies in the world and one of the most advanced intelligence systems. Yet, time and again, we are left asking the same question: Why are we unable to prevent such acts of terror against innocent people?
This is not the time for blame. It’s the time for bold and decisive action. We must move beyond just condemning these crimes. We need to hold the culprits accountable — swiftly and fearlessly. The people behind such brutal acts must face the full force of justice. Strong action must be taken to show that no life taken in such cruelty will be ignored or forgotten.
As a nation, we’re watching. The whole country is watching. If justice is delivered, not just words but real results — we will all stand with pride. I will appreciate it deeply, and so will millions of others, if we finally see action that reflects the true strength of our country — not just in arms, but in resolve, in justice, and in humanity.
We want peace, we want justice, and we want this cycle of violence to be broken — once and for all.
