Batasia Loop and the War Memorial is located 5 kms from Darjeeling and near Ghoom ( The highest point in the world where Locomotive Engines operate).

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway's famous Toy Train takes a circle at this point before before descending 1000 ft. in altitude. The breathtaking views of the Mt. Kanchenjunga & other snow capped Himalayan Peaks and the local handloom and handicraft display makes this place a must visit.

At the centre of Batasia Loop stands the War Memorial built in memory of the brave Gorkha Soldiers, who sacrificed their life for the country since independence.
