Sun on top of Virupaksheshwara temple Gopuram. This image was made from sugreeva cave( near pathway leading to Vittala temple from Kodanda Rama temple) in between achutapura and vittalapura ( places in hampi during vijayanagara rule). This is a rare sight of Sun on top of the temple complex during sunset and it can be experienced during summer season only as there would be shift in the axis of sun when compared with temple Gopuram used as reference point. (Sun looks to be shifted towards the Gopuram and the same shifts other side during the other seasons). A sunset view I was dreaming to capture and succeeded fairly. Had there been clouds in the sky that would have been more satisfying. Nevertheless this image made my day.

Sunsets from hampi never disappoints you. This place is on Hemakoota hill,hampi. A Vaishnava temple constructed on corners of the hill with small pond in front of it makes this a perfect place to sit and relax and enjoy the sunset. Each monument on this hill has so much of positive vibes attached to it that you find it hard to leave the place.

Saraswathi temple. A temple dedicated to Saraswathi Devi, but if observed in detail, it’s a Vaishnava temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, temple standing lonely amidst the boulders lit up by golden hour light of sunset. When you are at hampi do pay your visit to this beautiful temple and inscriptions can also be found on the back side of the temple walls.
