Some people come to the mountains for adventure. Some come for long walks through forests, quiet mornings by the lake, local food, and evenings around a bonfire. Most want a little bit of everything.

That’s why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all itineraries.

We curate small-group holidays in the Kumaon Hills around what you enjoy. Adventure, slow travel, food, nature, family time, or a mix of all of them.

Whether you’re planning a long weekend with friends, a family getaway, or a few days away with your favourite people, we help shape the experience around your pace and interests.

This year, a small group of travellers joined us in the Darma Valley for a geological trail led by geologist Dr. Suvrat Kher ( ) . Together, we walked through one of the most dramatic Himalayan landscapes in India, learning how mountains are formed, how rivers shape valleys, and how geology continues to influence life in the high Himalayas.

Along the way, there were conversations over tea, walks through remote villages, evenings spent under snow-covered peaks, and countless moments of curiosity and discovery.

These are a few memories from the trail.

At Deep Dive India, we design small-group journeys across the Himalayas around nature, culture, learning, food, walking, and meaningful local experiences.

Some people dream of mountain holidays. Others dream of finally trying something they have never done before.

Rock climbing on natural Himalayan cliffs. Rappelling through mountain terrain. Kayaking across quiet lakes. Cold-water swims. Forest walks. Long conversations over a weekend away.

The best part? You do not need to plan a large holiday.

A few days in the Kumaon Hills can be enough.

We curate Himalayan holidays for small groups of friends and families, built around what you enjoy, the time you have available, and the pace that suits you.

Whether you want adventure, nature, rest, or a little bit of everything, we help shape the experience around your group.

This summer, let’s trade screens for forests, lakes, campfires, and real adventure.

Deep Dive India’s Mountain Adventure Summer Camp is a 6-day outdoor learning experience in the Kumaon hills of Sattal, Uttarakhand, designed for young explorers between 12–17 years.

Children spend their days kayaking across forest lakes, trekking through oak forests, rock climbing, swimming, stargazing, cooking outdoors, and learning to move and grow as a team.

But beyond adventure, the camp also introduces them to mountain life through local village interactions, storytelling, craft workshops, and time spent in nature away from the noise of everyday routines.

Evenings slow down around bonfires, music, games, theatre activities, and conversations under open skies.

The experience is guided by experienced outdoor instructors and first-aid trained facilitators, with comfortable safari tents, nutritious meals, and on-site medical support throughout the journey.

Looking for a Himalayan holiday where you can travel freely, safely, and entirely on your own terms?

For this summer of 2026, we have designed custom holidays for women across the Kumaon Hills and Uttarakhand - built around how you want to travel.

Over the past 30 years, we have helped build a strong community of experienced wilderness experts across the Uttarakhand Himalayas. Today, we run a network of award-winning eco-campsites, mountain stays, and cosy hill cottages across Saat-tal and Mukteshwar, along with short hiking trails stretching from the foothills to the upper Himalayas.

Stay away from crowded hill stations and tourist-heavy itineraries. Spend your days in quiet villages, forests, lakesides, and open landscapes.

Walk through forest trails, swim in natural water bodies, take short hikes, cycle through forest paths, enjoy sunset dinners, evenings around a bonfire, or simply slow down and do nothing at all.

There are no rigid schedules or fixed itineraries. You choose your pace and how your days unfold.

Travel solo, with a friend, or with your girls. Our experienced local team handles your stay, food, and logistics, while creating a space that feels comfortable, flexible, and safe throughout the journey.

Some of our mountain hideouts are located just an overnight drive away from Delhi and Lucknow.

Duration is flexible - from a long weekend to extended stays.
Fully customisable.

What does a traditional Rampuri kitchen cook in the summer? Lighter gravies. Gentle spices. Yakhni pulao fragrant with stock and saffron. Kebabs scented with mint and coriander. Seasonal vegetables cooked slowly with meat. Raw mangoes finding their way into everyday dishes.

This month’s Home Dining Open House explores the flavours of a Rampuri summer kitchen through heirloom recipes, shared stories, and a slow Sunday meal hosted at home.

Planning a summer vacation in the Himalayas with your family in 2026?

We design custom holidays in Uttarakhand, built entirely around how your family likes to travel.

Over the past 30 years, we have built a community of highly accomplished wilderness experts across the Uttarakhand Himalayas. We run a network of award-winning eco-campsites and cosy hill cottages in Sattal and Mukteshwar, along with short hiking trails across Kumaon, from the foothills to the upper Himalayas.

Depending on the season, you can explore regions such as Binsar–Jageshwar, Corbett, Ranikhet, Chaukori, and Champawat with us.

Stay in quiet mountain villages, away from tourist crowds.

Spend your days on forest walks, swimming in crystal-clear lakes, rock climbing, short hikes, picnics, and slow explorations. Or do nothing at all. You choose how your days unfold.

Travel your way. Stay in one place and explore nearby, or move across villages and landscapes.

Our local, experienced team handles everything, from stay and food to daily logistics, so you don’t have to manage the details.

It works especially well for families. Kids settle in quickly, explore freely, and stay engaged with nature, while you finally get the space to slow down. Our team is experienced with children and always around to help.

Some of our mountain hideouts are located just an overnight drive away from Delhi and Lucknow.

Duration is flexible, from a long weekend to extended stays.
Pet-friendly. Fully customisable.

A 20-day journey across Russia and Mongolia, following the Trans-Siberian route from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar.

The experience moves through a sequence of places and landscapes.
Moscow and St. Petersburg introduce the journey through architecture, history, and city life.
Kazan and Yekaterinburg bring in regional shifts in culture and context.
Irkutsk and Lake Baikal open into Siberian terrain and quieter environments.

A significant part of the journey unfolds on the train, where travel becomes a continuous experience. Days are spent in motion, observing changing landscapes and settling into a slower rhythm.

The route then continues into Mongolia, where time is spent in Ulaanbaatar and the surrounding steppe, including Khustai National Park. The experience here is shaped by open landscapes and everyday interactions with local life.
