A perfect family day out by the coast 🌿🚶♂️
We started our morning in the peaceful village of Camber, where the air feels fresh and the pace of life instantly slows down. With T excited for the day ahead, we set off on foot, leaving the dunes behind and heading into the quiet countryside.
The walk itself felt like part of the adventure! From open fields, winding paths and that lovely feeling of being completely away from the rush of everyday life. Halfway through, we made an important stop… the playground for T, of course! A chance for him to run, climb and laugh while we soaked in the calm surroundings.
As we continued on, the landscape slowly began to change and then, almost like stepping into another world, we arrived in Rye.
Located in East Sussex, Rye is a town that feels frozen in time. Once surrounded by the sea and known as one of the original Cinque Ports, it played a vital role in protecting England’s coastline over 700 years ago. Today, its cobbled streets, crooked timber-framed houses, and hidden alleyways tell stories from centuries past.
Walking through Rye feels like wandering through history itself. Every corner has something to discover, every street feels like it has a secret.
From sandy dunes in Camber to medieval charm in Rye, this day had a little bit of everything.
So tell me… would you choose the wild beaches of Camber or the timeless streets of Rye? 👇
