A JOURNEY THROUGH HEAVEN ON WHEELS – BATI x Trip2Paradise
Some road trips are ordinary. And then there are those that etch themselves into your soul.
This one began in the heart of Kashmir—Srinagar—where the cool mountain breeze whispered promises of adventure. Alongside a fellow BATI Group explorer, I fastened my seatbelt, tuned into the rhythm of the road, and let the mountains guide our way.
Day 1–2: Srinagar to Kargil
The journey kicked off with soulful Kashmiri kahwa and reflections beside Dal Lake, before hitting the winding roads toward Sonamarg and the historic Zoji La pass. The landscape turned dramatically rugged as we reached Kargil, where stories of valor echo through every stone. The stars that night? Brighter than dreams.
Day 3: Into the A***n Heartland
From Kargil, we detoured into A***n Valley, a rare gem tucked between mighty mountains, where culture thrives untouched and hospitality warms your spirit. We shared laughter, songs, and local bread with the Brokpa community—a surreal blend of heritage and harmony.
Day 4–5: Leh Bound
Leh welcomed us with fluttering prayer flags and a vibe that can’t be described—only felt. Our journey with Trip2Paradise meant less worry, more wonder. Stok Kangri stood tall as we explored monasteries, met fellow nomads, and prepped for what lay ahead.
Day 6: Offbeat & Unfiltered – Nubra Valley
Through the Khardung La, we roared into Nubra, where double-humped camels posed like locals and sand dunes kissed the cold desert. Our music playlist grew wilder, and the vibe became contagious. The conversations deepened under the moonlight skies—this was not just travel, it was connection.
Day 7: Turtuk – A Tale Untold
Words fall short to describe Turtuk—a border village that felt like poetry in motion. The people, the apricots, the untouched beauty—it reminded us that the true treasures of travel lie beyond checklists.
Day 8–9: Pangong Tso – The Grand Finale
And then came Pangong Lake. Majestic, serene, overwhelming. Our white beast of a Hyundai creaked to a halt as we stood before the blue vastness. Silence never felt so loud. We camped by the lake, cooked under starlight, and shared stories till dawn.
