বর্ষার পরিপূর্ণ রূপে চারিদিক যখন সবুজের স্নিগ্ধ আভায় সেজে, বাতাস ভরে সদ্য বৃষ্টির সোঁদা মাটির শীতল গন্ধে, ঠিক সেই রূপসী সময়েই শ্রী সৌম্য শঙ্খ চৌধুরী এবং তাঁর পরিবারকে সন্তুকে অতিথি হিসেবে পাওয়ার সৌভাগ্য আমাদের হয়েছিল।
​কুয়াশাচ্ছন্ন সেই দিনগুলোতে তাঁদের উপস্থিতি যেন এক টুকরো ওম নিয়ে এসেছিল। পাতার ওপর ঝরঝর বৃষ্টির সুর থেকে শুরু করে বর্ষায় নবজীবন পাওয়া পাহাড়ের প্রাণবন্ত রূপ—চারপাশের এই শান্ত-স্নিগ্ধ সৌন্দর্য তাঁদের মুগ্ধ করেছিল। প্রকৃতির নিস্তব্ধ মহিমাকে অনুভব করতে এবং বর্ষার এই শান্ত-মধুর মুহূর্তগুলোকে তাঁরা যেভাবে আপন করে নিয়েছিলেন, তা দেখা সত্যিই এক পরম আনন্দের অভিজ্ঞতা ছিল।

যেসব চমৎকার ছবি আমাদের সাথে ভাগ করে নিয়েছেন, তাতে শুধু প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যই ধরা পড়েনি; বরং তার চেয়েও বেশি প্রকাশ পেয়েছে তাঁদের অমলিন আনন্দ, উষ্ণতা এবং একটি অপরূপ স্মৃতির জাদু, যা আমরা বহু বছর সযত্নে হৃদয়ে ধরে রাখব।

It is not about how many days you live, but how much life you pack into those days.

​Nimsdai’s passing has struck me with a profound, unexplainable grief. It feels as though we are drowning in sorrow we cannot quite name. Yet, if there is one solace in all of this, it is knowing that Nimsdai lived entirely on his own terms, and he left on his own terms. He lived exactly the way his soul demanded.

​His existence was a beacon for millions. His aura was so undeniably powerful that even after his passing was officially announced, we simply refused to believe it. Right up until the very moment the rescue team reached him, every single second felt heavy with the hope of a miracle. We kept thinking that because it was Nimsdai, he would somehow cheat death. To us, there was nothing he couldn't do. He was superhuman—a man for whom the word 'impossible' simply did not exist. As he always said, "Giving up is not in the blood, sir. It’s not in the blood."

​We have followed his journey for years, long before 14 Peaks arrived on Netflix and the rest of the world learned his name. His book rests on our shelf. We remember excitedly sharing his videos and stories with our friends, feeling as though we were introducing them to a completely new meaning of life, a new way of pushing human limits.

​For the past three days, one thought has been relentlessly echoing in mind: he left us far too soon. But in the time he was here, he gave the world more than most do in a century. He taught millions a fundamental truth: you do not accept defeat before the battle is lost, and you do not die before death truly arrives. Smiling through the deadliest, most unforgiving terrains on Earth, he proved that conquering your own fear is the ultimate key to success.

​We cannot recall the last time the loss of a public figure left us this deeply paralyzed. We are struggling to overcome the shock of his absence. Yet, amidst the pain, We can only say this: Nimsdai came, he saw, and he conquered. And then, like a true force of nature, he chose to disappear into the very mountains he loved so deeply.

​Every breath he took was spent inspiring the world. You are, and will forever be, our ultimate inspiration.
