🆕 What is this new rule?

Vietnam has introduced a mandatory online pre-arrival declaration (digital arrival card / NA1 form) for foreign travelers.

Effective from 15 April 2026
Currently applied at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City)
Expected to expand to other airports later

👉 It replaces the old paper arrival form with a digital system.

📌 Who must fill it?

You must complete it if you are:

Any foreign passport holder (including Indians)
e-Visa / Visa on Arrival / visa-free travelers
Overseas Vietnamese using foreign passports

❌ Not required for:

Vietnamese citizens
Transit passengers staying inside airport
📝 What information is required?

The form collects basic travel and identity details like:

Passport information
Flight details
Hotel / accommodation in Vietnam
Health declaration
Customs information (if any)

👉 It usually takes 5–10 minutes to complete

📲 What happens after submission?
You receive a QR code / confirmation
Show this at:
Airline check-in (sometimes)
Immigration counter on arrival
✈️ Why Vietnam introduced this?

Main reasons:

Reduce long queues at immigration
Speed up entry process
Improve border security & data collection

Recommended 24–48 hours before travel
