It was such a joyous moment for all of us . We had hit the road early in the morning that day from Bhalukpong, hoping to get lucky enough to witness the winter snow at Sela Pass. It was a bright sunny morning and we had a quick stopover for a hot Momo break at Bomdila; to everyone’s surprise the weather suddenly took a U turn. The bright , colourful sun is now gone and the entire valley took a humid look.
We thought that it would soon be raining and we have to cut short our plan. It was just half past 12 and it’s already looking like 6 in the evening. We got in our car and carefully took out our treasured scotch and started filling our plastic glasses.Someone had ordered some chicken snacks, which was surprisingly finger licking tasty , and we later ended up repeating several times .
Suddenly we witnessed some white droplets in our windscreen and we preferred to ignore thinking it to be some early small droplets before a heavy downpour and we resumed our conversation. We noticed that the droplets had grown thicker and by now there is almost zero visibility through the windscreen .Someone pointed out that the temperature at the cluster meter is showing 2 degree.
We slowly rolled our windows down. And saw that within a matter of minutes the whole valley is covered with a white blanket of snow....
And we went crazy....
