Female lions (lionesses) are the primary hunters

They are faster and more agile than the bulky males

Adumu it means "to jump." But it means so much more.

No instruments. No music. A circle, and a chant passed down through generations.

Some places change the world quietly.

Porini Cheetah Camp, set within the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, was part of pioneering a conservation model so successful it has since inspired over 100 conservancies across Kenya. Spanning 18,700 acres of Masai-owned land in the heart of the Masai Mara ecosystem, the camp is staffed almost entirely by local Masai landowners — making every game drive, every sunset, and every shared story an authentic celebration of community, wildlife, and belonging.

Some safari moments stay with you forever.
And then there are moments like this.

16 lions of the SEB Pride, right in front of us.
No fences. No screens. Just raw wilderness and complete silence before the excitement took over.

An experience impossible to explain fully — you just have to live it.

Okay so we went on safari and I don't think we're the same people anymore

No wifi, no signal, just us and the wild — and honestly? Best decision we ever made. If you ever get the chance to do this, DROP EVERYTHING AND GO. The safari doesn't care about your plans, your aesthetic, or your data plan — and that's exactly the point.

Save this if it's on your bucket list, because trust me, it needs to be.

Did you know?
Giraffes peel bark not just for food… but to camouflage themselves in plain sight.

Did You Know? Hippos have such sensitive skin that they literally turn pink in the sun.
What you're seeing right now isn't a filter. That's real sunburn happening in real time — right in front of our camera.

Some journeys are about seeing more.
Others are about seeing right.
From Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru to the Mara,
this safari was shaped by space, patience, and perspective.

Captured by Anil Nair, Indu Jayashree and family,
as they experienced Kenya not as a checklist,
but as a landscape of behaviour, rhythm, and quiet detail.

Fewer vehicles.
Unhurried sightings.
Moments that unfold, not rush past.

What you're watching is pure, unscripted wild behaviour — no bait, no tricks. Just trust built between humans and nature over years of responsible guiding.
This is what authentic safari looks like.

The African White-backed Vulture is one of the most efficient recyclers in the wild.

With exceptional eyesight, it can spot a carcass from kilometres away and often arrives within minutes. Their presence is a sign of a healthy ecosystem. By removing carcasses quickly, they help prevent the spread of disease across the savannah. Seen here at Porini Mara Camp, a reminder that on safari, even the overlooked moments reveal how the wild truly works.
