Hello Monday,

Aren’t you a little early this time. Why don’t you make some friend, do something, go somewhere or simply get a life. Stop being so blue all the time. And I’m not done yet. So go ahead and talk to my foot 😛

Back in the day when one needed excuses to take photos together.
A pic from one of our first dates together when this one took me to my first outdoor brew festival. Remember fondly walking through the stalls sampling beer from across India till the point that remembering was not my strong suit anymore.
It’s when he’s a loving gentlemen after all that, that you know you’re with the right guy.

I’ve been talking about missing mountains a lot lately without realising that some of you who don’t know me closely won’t understand why I keep saying that.
Here’s a picture of me in my real element up at 17,000 ft.
I’m usually a very composed person who believes in discipline so much that I’m constantly teaching myself something or the other. Some of you might know what it’s like.
The only time I am not thinking about any of it is when I’m in the mountains. It’s more like an intense fluid movement. Every part of my body knows where it needs to be and my mind is too busy taking it all love to think about anything else.
Mountains anyone?

There’s a charm to old photos.
Here’s one from my first solo trip ever. It was about 6 years back, in a beautiful small town called Pahalgam, in Kashmir. I might’ve got a burnt nose and missing smile but the moment was rather precious.
What was your first trip ever?

Nights watch.
Sitting in office, looking at a pool of water, while I wait for the rain to stop, all I can think about is that time in Maldives when we’d spend the entire night looking out into the vast expanse of sea waiting for a Manta or a Baby shark 🦈 to show up.

The path less taken.
Finding our way down to the 9 arch bridge was fun. Running through people’s back yard and through mud tracks only to find on the return journey that there was a well laid out cement track that rickshaws were plying on!
But we would have missed out on all the fun!

If I had to pick one place to live in for the rest of my life it’d be in the mountains.
I love mountains.
Not only to see, trek and travel through them but also to live, learn and grow with.
Whether it’s a small hillock or a plain at a freezing 16,000 ft, I’ve always found more comfort in the mountains than in the fanciest metro cities.

Here’s a picture from a small trek in Ella, during our trip to Sri Lanka.
One of the many mountain memories; until next time 😊

I’m a tea person.
If anything unusual happens and I need some time to absorb it, I make myself a cup of tea.
If it’s rained and the weather is beautiful, I go out for Tea.
If I wake up late and I’ve messed up my routine, I wash off my guilt with a cup of chai.
If I need some time and space to declutter my thoughts I get a cup of tea.
If I’m not doing anything, I have tea.
Tea makes me who I am.
I am a tea ☕️ person.
How about you?

Perfect pictures take time, effort and persistence.
Here's what happens when you take all the time and your husband takes a better picture.
On our way from Mirissa to Colombo, we stopped every few minutes to take a picture. A beautiful drive I'd recommend everyone to take when travelling through Sri Lanka.
