We held a Felicitation Programme at Government Secondary School, Manmow on 2nd July 2025. This event was not just a celebration of academic excellence, but also a testament to what collective effort, community support, and sheer determination can achieve.
We were deeply honoured to have Hon’ble Shri Chau Zingnu Namchoom, MLA of the 47th Namsai (ST) Constituency, as our Chief Guest. His presence brought immense encouragement to the students and to all of us working towards educational upliftment. We were equally privileged to welcome Shri C. R. Khampa, Deputy Commissioner of Namsai, as the Guest of Honour, whose support and kind words meant a great deal to us.
The occasion was further graced by the presence of the Superintendent of Police, Namsai, and the Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), Namsai as Special Guests, whose commitment to youth and education continues to inspire.
As part of the programme, we proudly felicitated the Class X toppers of GSS Manmow, who brought immense joy to us all with their incredible performance. We also felicitated the Class XII toppers of Government Higher Secondary School, Namsai, honouring them for their dedication and excellence.
A special moment of recognition for Shri Dil Kumar Dorjee, the tutor who worked closely with the students of GSS Manmow and played an instrumental role in the school's academic turnaround. We also took time to honour all the well-wishers whose generous contributions and unwavering faith helped us reach this milestone.
We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Shri Dozi Tana Tara, President of AAPSU, for donating whiteboards for every classroom at GSS Manmow, and to Shri Byabang Hapo Dui, Finance Secretary of AAPSU, for his generous donation of desktop computers, which has enhanced the digital learning capacity of the school.
In line with our earlier promise to support early childhood education, we also awarded Boghamur Anganwadi Centre — selected as the Best Anganwadi Centre — with essential items and a cash prize, recognising their dedication to grassroots learning and care.
We were truly grateful for the presence of our senior leaders, Gaon Buras, the All Tai Khamti Singpho Students’ Union (ATKSSU), the Singpho Youth Organisation (SYO), and the Manmow Youth, whose support has always strengthened our initiatives.
As we formally bid farewell to GSS Manmow, the school we had proudly adopted on 19th June 2024, we do so with our heads held high. What began with a worrying 22.22% pass rate turned into a story of hope and revival, culminating in a remarkable 57.89% pass percentage — the highest in three years. We believed in the students, the teachers, and the school, and they delivered.
We remain committed to striving for even better results and greater impact in the days to come.
