We have concluded our bird photography tour to Uttarakhand, a land of gods in the Northern part of India. This 10-day-long trip from February 28th to March 9th, 2026, covered areas like Sattal, a birding paradise for most photographers; Manila, a place that recently appeared on the birding map and is well known for Cheer Pheasant and Koklass Pheasant sightings; and Chopta, a land of Himalayan Monal.
During our photography journey, we recorded 150 birds, with all the big target birds photographed.

Our ongoing trip to North India.

Our North India birding tour has started. Our first part of birding was in Sattal, a famous birding destination that offers relaxing birding activities with over 30 bird species in the hide. Some of the really difficult birds in the wild can be seen more easily in the morning. Our highlight birds among all were Black Francolin, Rufous-chinned Laughingthrush, Rufous-throated Partridge, and Green Magpie.
This tour will cover up some great birding destinations like Manila and Chopta in the state of Uttarakhand.

We had a truly amazing one-day birding trip at the Chambal River on the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh border. This trip was completely different compared to our usual birding, as it was going to be on a boat in the Chambal River. The primary target bird was the Indian Skimmer. We saw more than 50 of them at a time within a few minutes of our boat ride. On top of that, Brown Crake, Bonelli's Eagle, and River Lapwing were a bonus. The Chambal River is known for an endangered reptile, the Gharial. We saw 5 of them along with Mugger crocodiles.

Tiger safari in Ranthambhore National Park, in Rajasthan was successful. It was a close encounter with a gorgeous female tiger named Noor.

Our summer high altitude birding photography tour at Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh comes to an end with grand success with all the big target birds seen and photographed. Among all, this gorgeous Gould's Shortwing was on the top list.

Pangolakha wildlife Sanctuary in Sikkim is one of the best birding destination. The avian diversity here attracts a number of birders from around India.
