The beauty and danger of glacier travel has always fascinated me. I have admired the mountains, high altitude and extreme adventures on such treacherous terrain since I remember.
Like it or not glaciers are dangerous places to hang out and if you want to climb in the Himalayas or any other greater ranges, chances are you might have to deal with the vulnerability at some point.
Falling into a crevasse represents one of the major risks involved in glacier travel. In such case it is important to stack all your cards in favor by traveling while roped up with the proper gear, good team members and knowing the right rescue techniques.
This was a shot taken by me at the Deo-Tibba axis while my colleagues were roped up together for the summit day.
