In Adi Kailash Yatra, the most unique experience is staying with locals in their cozy homestays — and you get this in Gunji, where we stay for 2 nights. Due to limited infrastructure and many travelers, accommodation is mostly in dormitory-style rooms with 5–8 beds each, including evening tea, dinner, and breakfast (often with biscuits or pakoras). Despite being busy cooking, heating water, and washing dishes, the locals still sit with you, share stories of India, Nepal, and Tibet, and listen to yours.
