NatureWings Holidays Ltd. is proud to have been part of a remarkable journey — the prestigious cross-country programme and roadshow led by Rhino Friend Suhan Mallick. This special initiative aims to spread awareness and strengthen conservation efforts for the iconic One-Horned Rhino of Kaziranga. Suhan Mallick is a young conservationist from Guwahati, Assam, known as "Rhino Friend." His journey began at age seven after being moved by a news report about an orphaned rhino calf, inspiring him to launch the "Save Rhino project." He has since spent years raising awareness through campaigns in schools and villages, advocating for rhino protection and stricter anti-poaching laws. His efforts have been recognized by prominent figures, including the President of India, and he has received titles like 'Garh Bandhu' from the Assam government. He has also campaigned on broader environmental issues, such as climate change and pollution.
From Kaziranga’s lush grasslands to several states across India, the roadshow carried the powerful symbol of the one-horned rhino — a reminder of our responsibility to protect this majestic creature. Our CEO & MD, Mr. Sandip Raha, along with our dedicated team, personally joined this mission, reflecting our deep commitment to wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism. This impactful initiative was proudly supported by NatureWings Holidays Ltd., standing shoulder to shoulder with the cause to safeguard the pride of Assam.
The Greater One-Horned Rhino is not just a rare species — it’s a living emblem of India’s natural heritage. Once on the brink of extinction, these gentle giants have made a remarkable comeback thanks to tireless conservation efforts.
