The Road for Siliguri to Gangtok / Kalimpong or Vice Versa *NATIONAL HIGHWAYS 10 WILL BE CLOSED ON URGENT REPAIR WORK DUE TO LANDSLIDE IN BETWEEN OF THE ROAD FROM 06/05/2024 TO 09/05/2024 by Order by DM Kalimpong*

For this road closure we need to take an Alternative Route like Via Darjeeling or Lava which will be travel time extend up to 8-9 Hours and 100 Kilo Meter Extra.

Due to This Diversion for Main Road Closures, extra Nominal will be applicable for *Small Cab Rs.3000 / SUV Rs.4000/-*

পাহাড়ি উপজাতিদের গ্রাম লামাহাটা, pujor ছুটিতে ঘুরে আসুন উত্তরবঙ্গের এই নতুন ডেস্টিনেশনে.

আর কয়েকদিন পড়েই ছুটি পড়ে যাচ্ছে। যাঁরা এখনও ভেবে উঠতে পারেননি কোথায় বেড়াতে যাবেন, তাঁদের জন্য একটা নতুন ডেস্টিনেশন হয়ে উঠতেই পারে লামাহাটা। কালিম্পঙের কাছেই এখ ছোট্ট পাহাড়ি গ্রাম লামাহাটা। দার্জিলিং থেকে থার দূরত্ব মাত্র ২৩ কিলোমিটার। দার্জিলিঙে একদিন থেকেই চলে যেতে পারেন এই লামাহাটায়। ঠান্ডা ঠান্ডায় মন্দ কাটবে না ছুটির কটা দিন।

খুব বেশিদিন হয়নি পর্যটন কেন্দ্রটি গড়ে উঠেছে। হাতে গোনা কয়েকটা রিসর্ড আর হোম স্টে। তাতেই ভিড় করছেন পর্যটকরা। দার্জিলিং থেকে লামাহাটার দূরত্ব ২৩ কিলোমিটার। খুব বেশি দূরে নয়। এই গ্রামের উচ্চতা ৫৭০০ ফুট। মূলত তামাং, ভুটিয়া, দুকপা উপজাতিদের বসবাস এখানে। চারপাশে পাইন গাছের জঙ্গল। রাস্তার দুই ধারে উঁচুউঁচু পাইন গাছের ফাঁক দিয়ে যখন রোদের রেখা এসে পড়ে তখন মন ভরে যায়। অনেকেই এখানে আসেন ট্রেক করতে। আবার অনেকে নিরিবিলিতে দুটো দিন কাটিয়ে যান।

কী কী দেখার আছে
লামাহাটা ছোট্ট একটা গ্রাম। এই গ্রামের নামের একটা অর্থ আছে। লামাহাটা শব্দের অর্থ লামাদের গ্রাম। অর্থই বলে দিচ্ছে কতটা শান্ত এই গ্রাম। এখানকে দেখার মূল জিনিস ইকো ট্যুরিজিম পার্ক। সেই পার্কে সকলে ট্রেক করে যান পাহাড়ের চূড়ায়। সেখানে রয়েছে একটি হ্রদ। শান্ত নিরিবিলি তার পরিবেশ। তাকে বলা হয় পবিত্র হ্রদ। এখানে দুষ্প্রাপ্য সব অর্কিডের দেখা মেলে। এছাড়াও এখানে আরেকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দেখার জিনিস টিলটপ ওল্ড ফোর্ট। পেশক ভিউ পয়েন্ট এবং ধুপি প্ল্যান্টেশন। কোথাও না গেলেও মনোরম পরিবেশে দিন কাটাতে মন্দ লাগবে না।
