The House That Remembers

The street exhales history when you stand before it, a four-story sentinel of weathered wood and crumbling stone that seems to be holding its breath, waiting for someone to finally listen.
What I felt wasn't melancholy, but witness: this building has sheltered families, absorbed their arguments and laughter, and now slowly returns to dust.

The most beautiful ruins aren't those destroyed suddenly they're the ones still dying, stubbornly refusing to disappear.
