Two contrasting icons in the same frame – a damsel and a warrior
The Apsara is depicted here, betel leaf in hand in a seductive pose biting on a twig, probably to suppress the discomfiture of the dwarf tickling her foot. All over the seven levels of the Vav, Apsaras (from the word apsa for water and rasa meaning essence) are portrayed in various forms, bearing bells, lamps, conches, chauris, gazing at the mirror or simply in tribhanga or thrice bent pose as in the present case.
The warrior on the other hand is Kalki, the tenth avatara (manifestation) of Vishnu, whose arrival, according to religious texts signals the beginning of the end of Kali Yuga. Sword in hand

AnantaShayana Vishnu from Preah Khan temple, Angkor
Here depiction of Vishnu takes quite a departure from conventional representation. Here serpent look more 'dragon'esque. Lakshmi sits at feet as usual and he holds lotus, Chakra and Shamkha.
